What is Stress?
Nonspecific response of body to any demand is known as Stress. Some times stress is important in life because without that life is boring and dull. Because of stress, challenges, flavor, and the opportunity are added in the life. Stress is important in life but extra stress affects causes mental and physical illness.
At the time of stressful situation, stress hormones are released by the human brain. Series of responses are activated due to chemical substances and this provides the extra energy to the human body such as level of blood sugar raises speeds up the heartbeat and increases the blood pressure. For the action, muscle gets tensed.
Stress is always with the human being. It arises due to emotional or mental activities, as well as the physical activities. It is personal and unique for each individual.

Marital disagreements, rebellious teens, dysfunctional relationships, or the caring for chronically ill members of the family or child with the special needs can also increases the level of the stress.
- Work stressors - Work stress caused because of job dissatisfaction, insufficient pay, an exhausting workload, office politics, and the conflicts with the boss or other employee.
- Social stressors - Social situations are also responsible for causing the stress. Social stressors are poverty, racial and sexual harassment, financial pressures, isolation, unemployment, and the lack of social support.

- Stress initially attacks on the inner emotions. Initial stress symptoms can contains feelings which are given below:

- Nervousness
- Internal pressure
- Excessive worry

- Cause of the stress is identified firstly in this step. Some of the times this is identified source such as a pile of unpaid bills, deadline at work, or a relationship which is not working. Source of problems are difficult to identify:
- Many soft stressors occurs at once may bring on same stress as a bigger problem or known anxiety's source or worry.

- This is done by removing physically from the irritating situation or removing mentally from the stressors through the mental distraction, normally called as a time-out.
- The point of the actions is allowing a relaxation for a moment and formulating plans to deal with the problems. This plan gives you relief from the stress. This also gives positive steps to recover and come to the original position.
- The above steps are broken down to the tasks for completing easily. Working to the aim is very satisfying. These steps prevent from the depression and lost the emotions which can go with the stress and making it worse.

There is a relation between tobacco smoking and the stress. Adult smoker says that, smoking helps them relief from the stress but at the same time they feel more stressed than the non-smokers. Research says that nicotine increases the stress level in adult smoker. The level of stress get increases in the adolescent smokers and becomes low when they quit the smoking.
Smoking helps for controlling the mood; but actually it increases the irritability, tension, and the depression, at the time when nicotine gets the depletion in the body. Many smokers know that smoking is unhealthy for the body but it has positive psychological functions.
