Skin Cancer Causes
Skin cancer is considered as one of the common cancers in the world. Generally, skin cancers develop in the epidermis that is near to the surface of skin. Therefore, the tumor can be easily seen on screen, and the cancer can be detected in the early stage. Basal cells cancer and squamous cell cancer are the two types of skin cancer mostly found in humans. Skin cancers are spreading speedily in the United States that shows the serious effects of the disease.
Causes of Skin Cancer
Exposures to the Ultra violate light increases the chances of skin cancer. The other factors that cause skin cancer are-
- Immunosuppression: When the immune system is impaired and it cannot prevent the foreign entities like the bacteria or germs, there are chances to develop the skin cancer. This impairment is caused due to the some disease or some medications prescribed after the organ transplant surgery.
- Tanning Booths: Tanning booths are used to cosmetic tan in which ultraviolet radiation is produced. The overexposure to the radiation may cause the skin cancer sometimes.
- Chemical Exposure: Farmers, miners and sheep shearers are at the risk of skin cancer compared to other people. These people come into the contact with arsenic, hydrocarbon and soot.
- X-rays: these rays are more effective to cause the skin cancer because of the radioactive technology used in the process.
- Environment: The sudden change in atmosphere or environment due to immigration or climate change also can cause the skin cancer.
Apart from the above discussed factors some people are at more risk of getting skin cancer. These people include-
- People who have very fair skin and can easily have sunburn. They feel pains in severe sunlight.
- People who are having light hairs and green eye.
- People who have genetic disorders that can cause the skin pigments.
- People with numerous and unusual moles by birth are more susceptible to the skin cancer.
- The individuals who are previously been the patient of skin cancer.
- The family member of the people who have skin cancers (inheritance).
- If a person already have a sunburn in early life.
- People above the age of 50 years.
Generally, skin cancer is the major concern among the older people born in the year 1970s. One must check any types of symptom occurred in the skin. If the person is experiencing any changes in the skin, he or she must seek a specialist for the proper treatment. That may be the beginning of the skin cancer. It is observed that treatment started at the early stage has proved successful to cure the skin cancers. If it is not treated properly then the cancer cells can spread into the other organs of body.
