Prevention of Cervical Cancer

If, we change our life style little a bit by avoiding bad and unnecessary habits, our life will become healthy and disease free. Cervical cancer is a most common disease found in females. There are some important preventive measures that can help you to reduce the chances of cervical cancer.

PAP test:

It is very common test used for detection of pre-cancerous cells of cervix. By using this test we can identify cervical cancer in very early stage. Some females prefer Pap test for regular checkup of cervix; it helps not just to control cervical cancer but also other related problems.

HPV vaccine

Now, HPV vaccine is available in the market. Vaccination is done at the age of nine in adolescent. Vaccine has ability to destroy the strains of HPV that induces cervical cancer and warts closer to the genital. Girl, who is HPV vaccinated can not develop cervical cancer in future. Gardasil and Cervarix are mostly recommended vaccines against cervical cancer. These two have ability to kill HPC-16 and HPV-18. No vaccine can completely stop the infection but definitely it decreases the risk.

Avoiding multi sex partner:

Multi sex partner is one of the important reasons behind the cervical cancer. Some females keep sexual relationship with many partners. In such condition it raises the chances of infection of Human Papillona Virus (HPV). Through sexual contact, HPV can transfer to her from HPV infected partner. So, to prevent cervical cancer always keep sexual relation with single partner; it will avoid risk of developing cancer.

Balance food:

Most of the people do not take care of their diet and eat anything which is available. It increases the problems related to digestive system and immune system. Weak immune system can invite many diseases. So, always eat healthy food with full of nutrients. Strong immune system can avoid many diseases.

Avoiding smoking and chewing tobacco:

Tobacco is a carcinogens i.e. it has capacity to induce cancer. If you are smoking or chewing tobacco it increases the chances of causing cancer. Avoid smoking and chewing completely; it will not prevent only cervical cancer but keep away other cancers like mouth and lung cancer.

Avoid HPV infection:

HPV can transfer through sexual contact. To avoid infection of HPV, condom can be used. It will decrease chances of cervical cancer as well as other sex related diseases.

Regular Pap test :

Do the Pap test on regular basis, so that if there is any abnormality then it can be found in its early stage only. If, it is dysplasia (can transform in to cervical cancer) or early stage of cancer, it can cure completely.
