- Until vomiting and diarrhea stops do not give any solid food to the patient
- Give hot drinks like rice water and tea. Strictly avoid alcohol and coffee
- You can apply mild heat on the stomach. It will minimize stomach pain and vomiting
- Personal hygiene
- Keep clean utensils used for cooking, cooking place and dishcloths. It will avoid food poisoning
- Avoid uncooked food. Mostly food from animal source like meat, poultry, eggs and sea food need to be cooked very well, otherwise it can lead to food poisoning
- Always eat freshly prepared food. Eat food before two hours of preparation because bacterial growth starts after two hours at the room temperature.
- Avoid fried food from outside
- Keep your refrigerator neat and clean. Adjust temperature below two or three because above five degree Celsius bacteria can grow very easily.
- Milk products are easily attacked by the bacteria, therefore never store them for more than a day
- Before eating preserved food from outside always check date of packing and seal of the container
- For cutting vegetables and fruit use non-rusted knife. After use, wash it neatly
- After cooking keep your food items in refrigerator before two hours
- Avoid eating bad smelling food
- Drink lot of fluids to balance fluid level in the body
- After having food rub, mixture of Soya oil (one cup) and garlic oil (three drops). This oil will give you relief from abdominal pain.
- For digestion of food, drink tea made from ginger. It will keep you away from indigestion, nausea and heartburn
- Most of the people face problem of indigestion of acid. To prevent acid indigestion you can drink one-cup of hot water added with one tablespoon of lemon juice. Just before a meal drink this water; it will solve the problem of acid indigestion.
- Vitamin C is required to strengthen immune system. A person with strong immune system hardly faces any health related problem. Take one-tablespoon mixture of lemon pest and salt two to three times in a day. It will solve problems related to digestion, and resistance power of to immune system.
- Food poisoning at initial level can be cured by drinking a cup of buttermilk with half spoon powder of ginger
- Eat inner thin linings of pomegranate fruit or drink pomegranate juice it gives relief from food poisoning.
- Eat mixture of five or six leaves of basil, two-three black pepper, sea salt, and curd of three tablespoon four times in a day. This is the best remedy for food poisoning.
