Chronic Appendicitis

Chronic appendicitis is considered as the mild appendicitis, as its symptoms are too mild to detect easily. Generally, chronic appendicitis is caused due to partial blockage combined with bacterial infection. As the symptoms take long time to detect, this type of appendicitis can be a serious problem for a person. Symptoms of Chronic Appendicitis
Chronic appendicitis symptoms are similar to the normal appendicitis, but they are milder than other types of appendicitis. Doctors recommend high-level antibiotics to improve the energy in body to fight against the bacterial infection that caused chronic appendicitis. However, only antibiotics will not work to treat the chronic appendicitis, as it is hard to manage in short time. Hence, patients need to administer drugs for long time to beat the infection. If the appendicitis causes any serious damage to the body such as the appendix burst, doctors prefer to remove the infected area by surgery.

Prevention of Chronic Appendicitis
There are some tips for healthy diet that help to maintain good appendix and reduce the risks of getting chronic appendicitis. Only eating enough to feel healthy will not help one to prevent chronic appendicitis, but managing the diet as per the needs of the body is beneficial here. Although, the chronic appendicitis symptoms are milder, but they can suggest you if there is something wrong in the body. For example, a normal stomach flu or virus can last not more than one week, but the symptoms of chronic appendicitis will remain unaffected even after the treatment. Sometimes, these symptoms get worse everyday by causing the death of the patient.

In short, despites its slow and lengthy progress, chronic appendicitis can be dangerous due to its serious affects. Hence, patients are suggested to seek medical advice immediately after they recognize the above mentioned symptoms more than a week.
