According to above points tumors are classified into two types benign and malignant tumor.

Benign tumor

Benign tumor is localizing lump; it can grow in size but that do not multiply to other parts of the body. Benign tumor always enclosed in a cyst, it is the thin membranous sac like structure. Benign tumor is not dangerous as compare to the malignant type but benign tumor can give harmful effect if it is affecting any important organ.

Person with benign tumor shows symptoms like pain in back, headache and pain in eyes. Pain always inform the central nervous system i.e. brain that, something is going wrong in the body functioning. Person with benign tumor is treated by surgery, radiation therapy or chemotherapy. Type of treatment given depends upon the developing stage of tumor. Most of the time benign tumor is removed surgically.

Malignant tumor

Malignant tumors are cancerous i.e. harmful to the body. This type of tumors show metastasis means after proliferation at one site cancerous cell transfer to other and this cycle continues for many times. Malignant tumor is not covered by the membranous sheath like in benign tumor. Cancerous cells of the malignant tumor grow speedily or divide faster as compare to benign type.

Malignant tumor can developed in any part of the body because of smoking or chewing tobacco which causes damage or mutation in genes and leads to cancer. Malignant tumors if identified in early stage can be cured completely. Person with malignant tumor shows symptoms like increase in body temperature, sweating in night time. We can avoid malignant tumors by eating healthy food avoiding fatty food so that we can control our body weight. Keep away alcohol, it will not just save you from the cancer but from other diseases also.
