What is Autism?Autism occurs in first three years of the life. Kids affected by this behaves differently then normal child. It becomes very difficult to the child suffering from autism to speak well and express the feeling in words. They react strangely on anything that happens around them. They bother to the very normal voice and even not feel comfortable to the gentle touch.
The kids suffering from autism have difficulty to make association with other normal kids. Meaning of this is that when someone smiles, autism child has, trouble to give smile to that person and unable to make happy feelings. Autism affects on three major areas like communicative skills, social skills and in the cyclic and limited behaviors. They give irregular reply to the sensations. Because of autism, kids behave abnormally connecting with peoples, events or with the objects.
Normally, twenty kids out of ten thousand are affected with autism or have the autism symptoms. From the affected kids, 80 percent are the boys. Autism is established in all over the world. This is nor particular to any family or society. This may occur to the children of doctor, rickshaw driver or any high class family.
What Causes Autism?
Autism disorder is related to brain so it is very difficult to find out easily because human brain is very complicated. It contains hundred billion of nerve cells called as neuron and each neuron contain thousands of links that carry messages in the whole body. These neurons helps to feel, see, move, remember etc. The kids affected with autism have some problem with connection of neuron that passes the messages.

- Problem occurs in learning to talk. Fifty percent of the people suffering from autism not able to speak.
- Problems during initiating the conversation and keeping that conversation continuous.
- Typecast and recurring applies of the language means the people affected with autism may repeat the same word or same phrase many times.
- Autism person unable to understand the feeling of another person.
- Limited interests in activities or play.

- Younger autism children can focus on only part of toy such as door or wheel of car rather than giving attention on entire car or playing with that car.
- Worried about particular topics like schedule of train, weather report etc.
- Autism children like similarities in routines. If they eat bread regularly then they eat bread rather than salad and forces to go to school on the same route.
- Typecast behavior.
Autism symptoms during childhood
Autism symptoms in children are first noticed by the parents. Even though autism present by the birth, symptoms and sings can be much difficult to classify. Guardians concerned to the doctor in case when kid does not give interest in playing particular games, not capable to talk and in case of hearing problem. Autism child does not here other time, but it may hear background noise such as whistle of train etc.
Using the early treatment, many children recover their ability related to communication and that helps to them to improve as they grow up.
Autism symptoms during adolescent and teen years
The patterns of performance may change in case of youngsters. Youth and budding sexuality might be much difficult. Problems occur to the adolescence such as anxiety, depression or epilepsy.
Autism symptoms in adulthood
Autism adults are like to live and work individually. Only 33 percent of the people are able to achieve fractional freedom. Lot of assistance is needed by the autism specially those who have low cleverness and are not able to speak. In the program of residential treatment full or part time management can be given.
On the other hand, some of autism adult lives independently. These people might have difficulty in living independently in comparison with normal people. But these people have typical intelligence.
How Is Autism Treated?
Autism is a disease which is not able to cure but therapist, doctors and particular teachers can assist to autism child that how to overcome from the disease or adjust with the problems that occur. Starting the treatment to the child earlier is better for that child.
The kids suffer from autism need different treatments because it is different in different kid but the primary treatment is same in all the children. In primary treatment they learn how to communicate with the others. Speaking the language is difficult for those children so teacher can teach the language with the help of pictures or particular signs. This is useful way and many autism kids learn to speak.
Therapist assists to the kids that how to study social skills including how to follow direction, how to meet people, stay for a turn, and many more. Some children require the help in livelihood skills such as arranging the bed or brushing the teeth. Some kids take the training on how to control the temper and require the therapy for that while some take medications for improving the behavior.
Mild autism children can go to normal school. But many kids requires peaceful environment. Early involvement is very important because one time the analysis has been ready, the physicians, parents, and the specialists are free for discussing the best for the kid. Mostly parents take care of their child at the home.
Behavioral, structural and some special teaching courses exists for the children suffering from autism. Behavioral handling courses include the following:
- Given the clear and understandable instructions to children
- Punctual in performing the exact behaviors
- Immediate admire and rewards for the performing exact behaviors
Parents must be educated with the behavioral skills because after that they take care of their child vary neatly. Medications are optional in special cases such as hyperactivity, attacks, tremendous humor changes, or self harmful behaviors. Attitude of each child depend on her or his own intelligence so treatment is based on that attitude.
