what is Allergy?

Environmental and genetic problems are responsible for allergy symptoms. Pollution and smoking are mostly responsible for causing allergy.

Allergy describes response of the body which is not compulsorily dangerous but it causes some symptoms and the disease to the inclined person which then causes the trouble.

Allergy includes itchy eyes, runny nose or rashes on the skin and effect may be like worse the sense of sight, smell, touch and tastes. All of these occur because of overreacting immune system of the body.

Number of these Allergies is increasing by 5 percent each year and from that half of the children. This is mostly occurred in the UK.

Causes of an Allergy:

Because of the substances in the environment allergic reactions are occurred which is known as allergens. Allergens hold protein, which is included into the food whatever we eat.

Antibodies are useful for protecting body from parasites, infections and viruses. But the immune system of the allergic people wrongly identifies the type of allergens and makes antibodies against the allergy. This is called as IgE which is attached with mast cells which rich under skin and in the lungs, eyes, nose and in gastrointestinal tract. When allergen is identified, that cell leaves the strong chemicals. These causes reaction of allergy within minutes or it may take hours also.

Allergy Symptoms totally depend on types of entrance of allergen into the body. For example pollen is entered into body from the nose, sinuses, throat and eyes and they commonly known as hay fever.

Treatments for avoiding allergens:

Prevention is good option for treatment on the allergy. There are many old and new ways for avoiding the allegiance. Regularly clean and wash the house which is useful for keeping home free from dust, mold and other types of allergens.

Following are some measures for keeping the home allergens free:

Patients do two things either they cannot do anything or overdo it for keeping the home dust free. Following are some simple reasons for removing the allergens:

Pollens - Before the time of bed take bath or shower to wash the pollen and remove allergens of different kinds on your skin and hair. In the windy, dry days keep away from going outside. Keep shut the windows and doors of home and make use of air conditioner at home as well as in car.

Mold - You can remove the mold from your home by keeping plants outside the home; regularly clean curtains of shower, windows in bathroom, and walls. Apply mixture of chlorine and water to destroy molding. After that open the windows and doors and start the fan to raise movement of air which helps to avoid the mold. Do not carpet bathroom and other rooms. Controlling the humidity up to 50 percent or less than that helps to reduce the mold.

Pet dander - If allergy is occurred because of pets then keep them outside or at least away them from yourself. There are so many ways to reduce the pet dander in the home. You can regularly bath your pet, allergen- resistant bed covers and use the air filter for removing pet dander.

Dust and dust mites - For killing dust and dust mites in the home, remove the drapes, upholstered equipment, comforters which are not washable, and the soft toys. Change the carpets with the wood or linoleum. Floors are mostly polished which is the best option for removing the dust and dust mites. Regularly use vacuum cleaner with a high frequency. Vacuum is applied on floor as well as on furniture. Wash the carpets with cleaners such as tannic acid or benzyl benzoate etc. All the bed covers are washing in hot water which is hot than 130 degree F in every 8 to 10 days. Use plastic cover for mattress and pillow and keep low humidity in your home.
