ADHD Inattentive

Inattentive ADHD is one of the subtypes of three subtypes of ADHD. It is also known as ADHD-I, which is different than the other subtypes of ADHD. The condition shows the signs such as disorganization, forgetfulness, distractibility, procrastination, fatigue, impulsiveness and hyperactivity. ADHD-I is the condition that mostly goes unnoticed.

People with this condition gets easily distracted, always late, get easily bored, finds the things that they just put down, have very short attention spans to a tasks and daydreaming while others are talking to them.

How the ADHD-I can be identified?

Most of people fail to notify that their child has an ADHD-I because the child does not display any behaviors that may be of disruptive. According to the results of National Institute of Mental Health, there are very few children who experience the symptoms like hyperactivity and impulsiveness of the condition.

However, most of children need treatment of inattention when they experience the symptoms such as forgetfulness or sluggish and most disrupting symptoms of impulsivity and hyperactivity.

Prefrontal cortex of the brain is the factor that speeds up the activity when there is work with concentration. But if there is condition of ADHD-I then the prefrontal cortex slows down.

Children with the Inattentive type of ADHD face the problem of difficulty solving and tend to daydreaming. Below is the criteria, which is mostly used to diagnose children with ADHD of Inattentive Type.
