Surgical operation includes the removal of the obstruction in the appendix. It also helps to avoid the future complications and recurrence of the appendicitis by removing the affected appendix.

Appendectomy, the surgical operation is used for removing the acute appendicitis. The patients recover almost within a month after the surgery if they are treated at right time. In cases of the complicated acute appendicitis, patients are provided careful medical and diet treatment before and after the surgery. As acute appendicitis can causes serious damages to the patients, the mortality rate in these cases are also high.
